Sisi Praises Constructive, Fruitful Talks with Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron hosted a dinner for President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Elysee Palace yesterday evening.

President El-Sisi expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude for Macron's generous invitation and the warm welcome he received during his current visit to Paris, President Sisi also expressed appreciation for their constructive and fruitful talks that clearly reflects the distinction and uniqueness of the bilateral relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the French Republic.

“Your great country and your friendly people enjoy a special place in the Egyptian people hearts, as we share together a cultural and civilizational legacy that extends over the ages,” Sisi said. “The great fondness of the French people for the ancient Egyptian civilization contributed to further deepening the relationship of friendship and cooperation, and enhancing the convergence of common goals, visions and interests between our two countries.”

President Sisi added that the distinguished relations are reflected in the existing cooperation between the various Egyptian and French institutions in the fields of economy, trade, investment, education, transportation, defense and security, representing a solid basis for the solid relations between the two countries.

He noted that the enormous challenges the world is currently facing, such as the phenomena of violence, extremism, intolerance, racism and contempt for religions, push our countries, with their civilizational and cultural weight, to cooperate to confront these negative phenomena through joint work for promoting the values of tolerance and moderation.

“My visit to your friendly country represents an important opportunity to exchange views not only on ways to improve cooperation relations between our two countries, but also to coordinate positions on various regional and international issues.”

President El-Sisi renewed appreciation for President Macron for his constant interest and eagerness to enhance joint coordination and develop all aspects of cooperation between Egypt and France, wishing him continued success.
