President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is set to take part in the G7 Summit, held under the French presidency of the group from June 15 to 17, 2026, in the French city of Evian.

The summit features the participation of heads of state and government from the G7 member nations, alongside a number of countries invited as partner states, including Egypt.

The President of the European Council, the President of the European Commission, and the heads of several international and regional organizations will also attend.

Mohamed El-Shennawy, official Presidential spokesperson stated that the summit meetings are scheduled to address several key topics. These include boosting global economic growth, exploring ways to resolve international geopolitical crises and counter their repercussions on trade, energy, and supply chains, accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and enhancing international cooperation in digitalization and artificial intelligence.

The spokesperson pointed out that this marks Egypt's second participation in a G7 Summit. Egypt's first appearance was at the "Biarritz" summit in France back in August 2019, during Egypt's presidency of the African Union.

The spokesperson added that Egypt's participation in the summit underscores its pivotal role in driving development and stability in the Middle East.

He also noted that President Sisi is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit with several participating world leaders, most notably a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
