On Thursday, President Abdel Fattah Sisi discussed with his Cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades the latest regional issues during a phone call.
The overviewed issues include the cooperation between both states in the field of energy on the sidelines of the newly-founded EastMed Gas Forum.
Both presidents exchanged various points of view around major regional issues alongside asserting the depth of the mutual ties between Egypt and Cyprus.
On his side, President Anastasiades expressed the importance of exchanging views with Egypt regarding the mutual interests of both states.
He also praised the strength of Egypt-Cyprus ties asserting that Cyprus is looking forward to enhancing the tripartite relations between Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece.
On the other hand, President Sisi praised the improvement that the cooperation between two states witnessed underscoring Egypt's continued cooperation with Cyprus and Greece.
