President Abdel Fattah El Sisi instructed on Saturday the government to increase the financial allocations for the Transport Ministry to finalize its current and future projects, as the transport sector is vital for the citizens' daily life.

Sisi's directives come during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

The meeting touched on the executive situation of some of the ministry's projects, particularly the roads and axes across the country.

Wazir reviewed the latest developments of work at the projects of the new roads and bridges network.

The president ordered upgrading of the efficiency of the el-Tameer Axis which links Alexandria with the North Coast in line with the highest standards.

The minister briefed the president on the ventures of axes, currently established to link between the two banks of the Nile River nationwide.

In this regard, Sisi directed the ministry and concerned bodies to turn these axes into sustainable projects, promoting rates of trade and industry.

During the meeting, Wazir reviewed the developments of the High-Speed electric train Set to connect Ain Sokhna to Alamein, which will pass by the New Administrative Capital, Helwan, and 6th of October city, as well as efforts, exerted to develop a number of ports.
