President Abdel Fattah El Sisi offered condolences to the Sudanese government and people over deadly floods that have swept Sudan, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
"President Sisi made a phone call on Thursday with General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council," said Rady.
He added that "Sisi expressed Egypt's sincere condolences to the sisterly Republic of Sudan and to the families of the victims of the floods that swept a number of Sudanese states."
During the phone call, the Egyptian President stressed Cairo's full solidarity with the brotherly Sudan in those circumstances, within the framework of firm brotherly and historical ties.
On his part, General Al-Burhan expressed his sincere appreciation to the Egyptian President for his sincere condolences and feelings, pointing to what they reflect on the specificity of Egyptian-Sudanese relations at the official and popular levels, and their strength and durability.
