Sisi Offers Condolences over Death of Tanzanian President

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi offered on Thursday his sincere condolences and sympathy to the people and government of Tanzania on the passing of President John Magufuli, Presidency spokesman Bassam Rady said.

Sisi also hailed Magufuli's contributions to serve his people, his country, and the entire African continent.

Based on the strong fraternal ties between Egypt and Tanzania, the President affirmed the solidarity of  Egypt's government and people with Tanzania in this painful tragedy, Rady added.

It is worth mentioning that, Magufuli has died on Wednesday at the age of 61, from heart complications at a hospital in Dar es Salaam.

Magufuli was one of Africa’s most prominent Coronavirus skeptics and called for prayers and herbal-infused steam therapy to counter the virus.
