President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met today, Monday, with Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, in parallel with the convening of the United Nations Climate Change Summit in Glasgow.
"Sisi and Rutte discussed ways to advance relations between the two countries in areas of common interest, especially trade exchange, tourism, and immigration," said Rady.
They also discussed cooperation in the field of water management, as well as benefiting from the Dutch expertise in projects related to irrigation systems and agriculture.
Moreover, the two leaders tackled strengthening the existing cooperation between the Suez Canal and the Port of Rotterdam, as well as discussing ways to enhance tripartite cooperation between Egypt and the Netherlands in Africa.
The meeting also witnessed discussions on the latest developments on a number of regional files and issues of common interest.
On his part, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands stressed his country's keenness to enhance cooperation with Egypt to maintain regional peace and security in the Middle East and Africa.
He also lauded the Egyptian efforts to reach political solutions to various regional crises and contribute to restoring stability and security.
