President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated today in the Labor Day celebration held at the headquarters of the National Egyptian Railway Industries Company (NERIC) in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, East Port Said.

Upon his arrival at the main celebration tent, the President was received by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President of the Senate, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, the Minister of Transport, several other ministers, the Governor of Port Said, the Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the Chairman of NERIC, and the President of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation.

Official presidential spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the celebration began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by Abdel Moneim El-Gamal, President of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation, who presented the Labor Day shield as a commemorative gift to the President.

Subsequently, a documentary film titled "Makers of the Present and Builders of the Future," highlighting the annual Labor Day celebration and the key activities of the Ministry of Labor, was screened.

The spokesperson added that the program included a speech by Hassan Raddad, Minister of Labor.

Following this, President Sisi inaugurated four new projects via video conference: the Zagazig Electricity Substation (Sharqia Governorate), the Rashid (2) Lifting Station Substation (Giza Governorate), the Bulaq El-Dakrour General Hospital (Giza Governorate), and the Toukh Central Hospital (Qalyubia Governorate). This was followed by a documentary film about the NERIC factory and a speech by Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Transport.

The spokesperson further noted that the President honored a number of distinguished workers from various sectors, awarding them medals and decorations in recognition of their dedicated efforts and commendable contributions in their respective fields.

President Sisi then delivered a speech on the occasion of Labor Day, extending his warmest congratulations, appreciation, and gratitude to the workers of Egypt, along with sincere prayers that God bless their efforts and guide their steps.

"You, the workers of Egypt, are the arms of the nation and the pillars of its development, from the dawn of history to this very day," Sisi said. "The state has affirmed, and will continue to affirm, its steadfast commitment to protecting your rights and providing a decent working environment worthy of the effort and sincerity you provide."

Moreover, Sisi stated that the comprehensive renaissance Egypt is witnessing today, and the major projects being accomplished in all fields, could not have been achieved without the Egyptian worker.

"We are striving with all possible effort to localize industries in Egypt," the President emphasized, noting that "Made in Egypt" is not just a slogan, but a national pledge and a great goal through which we aim to build a strong economy, safeguard our national security, improve the utilization of our resources, and open horizons of work and hope for future generations.

Furthermore, Sisi added that through major national projects and by encouraging the private sector, Egypt has successfully created hundreds of thousands of new job opportunities.

He also affirmed that the Egyptian worker remains the cornerstone of the process of construction, development, and progress—a continuous journey that knows no pause, aimed at securing Egypt's rightful place among developed nations.
