President Abdel Fattah El Sisi mourned former Prime Minister Kamal Al Ganzouri who passed away on Wednesday at age of 88.
"Egypt lost today a statesman of a unique class, Former Prime Minister Kamal Al Ganzouri. The late was devoted to Egypt, loyal to its land and people," Sisi tweeted.
The president added that the late premier had a "positive impact on various aspects of the political and economic lives," noting that he also enjoyed a valued academic status, wise vision, excellent leadership skills, and good manners.
"May God bless the soul of the dearest, and I extend my condolences to his family praying that God bestows patience and consolation upon them," Sisi said.
Ganzouri was born on 12 January 1933. He has served as Prime Minister of Egypt from 7 December 2011 to 24 July 2012. He previously served as prime minister from 1996 to 1999.
He was branded Minister of the Poor and the Opposition Minister because of his way of dealing with limited-income people and the opposition.
