President Abdel Fattah El Sisi mourned Friday Zeinab Mostafa, a 90-year-old woman who donated her gold earrings to the Tahya Masr (Long Live Egypt) fund.

"I mourn with great sorrow the death of Zainab Mustafa, who passed away on this blessed day. This virtuous lady who gave a great example of patriotism, belonging and loyalty to her country when she donated her gold earring to the Long Live Egypt fund," Sisi tweeted.

He added that "May God have mercy on her and forgive her."

"She was the best model for the Egyptian woman thanks to lessons she offered all the time in detachment and sacrificing," the president noted.

In late July, Sisi received Mostafa and offered her a free trip to perform pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
