Sisi, Madbouly Discuss National Projects' Developments Nationwide

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed on Monday the developments of various national projects nationwide with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

"The meeting followed up on the status of implementing a number of national projects nationwide," Rady said.

With regard to developing and constructing new cities, the prime minister presented the latest developments pertinent to the establishment of development and tourism projects in the New Al Alamein City and Sharm El Sheikh.

On his part, Sisi stressed the importance of applying all modern standards to develop the new cities as well as the existing cities across the country in a sustainable way. This is while preparing the infrastructure of these cities to become green and environmentally friendly, including the use of new and clean energy, especially in means of mass transportation.

He also affirmed Egypt's readiness to host huge international events in the coming period.

The President was briefed on developments pertinent to the renovation of Al-Fustat area, within the comprehensive framework to develop Historic Cairo, seeking to restore the features of civilization to the heart of the capital, turning it into a tourist attraction and increasing green areas.

Moreover, Sisi gave directives to complete all processes of renovating Al-Fustat in 2022, while considering the ancient architectural design, in harmony with the nature of the heritage area.
