President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has arrived at the Elysee Palace in Paris to meet with French Counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Monday.
The two leaders have started a summit to discuss a number of issues of common interests and regional developments, most notably counter-terrorism, combating illegal migration, Libya, Palestine and the East Mediterranean.
A press conference is expected to be held after finishing the bilateral talks at the Elysee where the Egyptian president and his French counterpart will receive several questions.
