Sisi, Macron Hold Talks in Sharm El-Sheikh

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received his french counterpart Emmanuel Macron, on the sidelines of COP27 World Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, accroding to Presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.

At tbe outset of the meeting, the President welcomed French President's visit to Egypt, praising the development of bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields. 

Moreover, Sisi expressed Egypt's aspiration to enhance political coordination and exchange views with France on various regional and international issues of common interest, especially issues related to food and energy security, as well as sectors in which France has an advantage, such as transportation and the electric vehicle industry. 

It is worth mentioning that Egypt hosts the COP-27 summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, from November 6-18, which is considered the largest and most important summit in the world, to discuss the fate of the planet and save it from deterioration and collapse of the devastating repercussions of climate change, and contribute to saving humanity.

COP27 is witnessing wide international participation from different parts of the world, with the participation of more than 120 state leaders, and representatives from about 197 countries, and nearly 40,000 participants from around the world, as well as dozens of international and regional organizations, to take part in the annual negotiations on climate change.

The summit also enjoys extensive global media coverage with the presence of more than 3,000 media professionals who cover the activities of the summit in different languages.
