Sisi, Le Maire Discuss Boosting Joint Economic Relations

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received today, Wednesday, Bruno Le Maire, the French Minister of the Economy and Finance, on the sidelines of his visit to France, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

“Sisi expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance in the field of strengthening economic and commercial relations between the two countries,” said Rady.Sisi, Le Maire Discuss Boosting Joint Economic Relations

The president, also, tackled the incentives and advantages of investment related to the developing business climate in Egypt, and the huge investment opportunities facing the French business sector in the Egyptian national projects, especially in the transport, energy, water and health sectors.

In this regard, Sisi stressed the importance of the factor of localizing industry and transfer of technology in all joint projects with the French side.

On his part, Le Maire affirmed his country's interest in strengthening joint cooperation with Egypt for providing advanced technology to Egypt in all fields, as well as encouraging French companies to work and invest in Egypt.

The French official hailed “the positive economic developments that Egypt witnessed during the recent period.”

Sisi and Le Maire discussed, during today’s meeting, prospects for maximizing French investments in Egypt, in addition to efforts to expand the activities of some French investments that already exist. They agreed to continue work and coordination during the coming period between the French Ministry of Economy and Finance and the relevant government agencies in Egypt from to foster economic cooperation between Cairo and Paris.
