On Wednesday, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi laid a wreath of flowers on an unknown soldier's tomb in Athens.
Upon his arrival, Sisi was accorded an official reception, and the national anthems of Egypt and Greece were played to welcome the Egyptian president.
It is worth mentioning that, the Egyptian president arrived in Athens Tuesday evening, embarking on an official visit to Greece, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
The president will hold a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and other senior officials on means of boosting economic and energy cooperation between the two countries.
Egypt's head of state will also review investment opportunities available in Egypt.
Sisi and Mitsotakis will exchange views on various regional and international issues of common concern, topped by the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean region, as well as combating terrorism and extremist ideology.
