President Abdel Fattah El Sisi hailed on Tuesday the economic cooperation with South Korea and the successful models of the Korean investments in Egypt, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
In a phone call with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, President Sisi discussed fostering bilateral relations and partnership between both countries.
Sisi voiced Egypt's appreciation for close relations with South Korea and the current partnership between them, affirming the keenness to develop trade relations between both countries in light of the mega-development projects that are being implemented across Egypt, Radi added.
Meanwhile, the South Korean president lauded the distinguished ties binding between Seoul and Cairo, voicing his country's keenness to boost bilateral relations at various levels, mainly in the economic field.
"South Korea is interested in increasing investments in Egypt in light of Egypt's economic growth and the comprehensive development movement in the country," he added.
The two leaders discussed several regional and international files of common concern and agreed on increasing mutual visits between senior officials from both countries.
They also agreed on upgrading the level of common cooperation mechanisms and exchanging expertise between health authorities in both countries to enhance anti-coronavirus efforts.
