President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Saturday Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser al-Mohammad al-Sabah, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
"The president and the Kuwaiti FM discussed ways to foster bilateral relations," said Rady.
The Kuwaiti FM handed over a written letter from Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the Egyptian president, according to Kuwait News Agency.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister appreciated Egypt's pivotal role in the region as it is a basic pillar for the security and stability of the Arab world, praising Egypt's constant keenness to strengthen solidarity among Arab countries and advance the bonds of joint Arab action.
On his part, Sisi requested to convey his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah, congratulating the government and people of Kuwait on the occasion of celebrating the National Day.
Sisi affirmed the strength of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations and their characteristic, and Cairo’s keenness to develop close and distinguished cooperation between the two countries at various levels, seeking to consolidate security, stability and development at the regional level, and in the interest of the two brotherly peoples and the Arab nation.
Rady noted that the president also expressed his sincere appreciation for the sincere Kuwaiti efforts with regard to reconciliation efforts, stressing “Egypt's firm stance towards supporting Arab solidarity in a way that ensures unity to ward off risks to the rest of the Arab nation and safeguard its national security.”
The spokesman manifested that the meeting witnessed discussions on various aspects of bilateral relations, as well as consultations regarding developments in the regional arena.
Sisi reiterated, in this regard,

“It was agreed to intensify joint consultation and coordination between the two brotherly countries in this regard,” Rady added.
