President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call today from King Abdullah II of Jordan.
According to the official Presidential spokesperson, the call reaffirmed the strong and deep-rooted ties between Egypt and Jordan, as well as the commitment of both leaders to ongoing coordination on regional issues in a way that serves the interests of both nations and the broader Arab world.
Moreover, the discussion focused heavily on developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Both leaders also emphasized their unified stance, highlighting the necessity of the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the continued release of hostages and detainees, and the facilitation of humanitarian aid to alleviate suffering in the region.
Additionally, Sisi and King Abdullah stressed the immediate need to begin the reconstruction of Gaza without displacing its people.
They also called for an end to Israeli actions against Palestinians in the West Bank.
