President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received today, Wednesday, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed, Advisor to the King of Bahrain for Diplomatic Affairs, and tackled bilateral issues, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, and Ambassador Hisham Al-Jowder, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Cairo attended the meeting.
Sisi welcomed the visit of the Bahraini official to Cairo, asking him to convey his greetings to his brother, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa, pointing to the specificity of the Egyptian-Bahraini relations, and the consensus of views and visions between Egypt and Bahrain on all issues.
On his part, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed expressed his honor to meet Sisi, conveying to him the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa, and his keenness to consolidate the close brotherly relations between the two countries in a way that enhances security and stability in the region.
He also hailed the efforts of Sisi to advance joint Arab action and maintain peace and security at the regional level.
Rady noted that the meeting dealt with ways to strengthen bilateral relations at various levels, especially with regard to the preparation for holding the joint committee between the two countries in the first quarter of 2022.
The latest developments in the regional situation and issues of common interest were also reviewed, as it was agreed to enhance mutual coordination during the coming period between the two countries regarding facing the challenges facing the Arab nation.
