On Tuesday, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met Jordanian Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh, on the sidelines of his current visit to Amman, according to Presidency spokesman Bassam Rady.
At the outset of the meeting, President Sisi expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality that he received in Jordan, lauding the strong fraternal ties between Cairo and Amman.
In addition, he affirmed Egypt's aspiration to deepen and strengthen it in a way that contributes to achieving the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples, especially at the economic and commercial levels, within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism with Iraq.
Sisi also valued the efforts exerted by the Jordanian government to safeguard and protect the Egyptian community in Jordan.
On his part, Al-Khasawneh welcomed President Sisi, praising historic and deep relations between both countries.
Moreover, the Jordanian PM hailed the comprehensive development steps and major national projects being implemented in Egypt, stressing his country's aspiration to benefit from Egypt's development efforts through the exchange of experiences and joint investment.
They also discussed ways to boost bilateral relations in various fields, as well as the latest regional and international issues of common interest.
