Sisi, Jinping Hold Talks with in Beijing

Chinese media reported that President Xi Jinping held talks with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Beijing today, Wednesday.

El-Sisi arrived in Beijing on Tuesday at the invitation of the Chinese President.

Alongside leaders from Bahrain, Tunisia, and the UAE, who are also on state visits to China until Saturday, President El-Sisi will attend the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, marking its 20th anniversary.

China is hosting a group of senior Arab dignitaries and diplomats today, Wednesday, ahead of the forum, through which Beijing hopes to deepen ties with the region and present a "common voice" on the Israel-Hamas conflict.

In recent years, Beijing has sought to strengthen relations with Arab countries, mediating last year's breakthrough between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
