Egypt’s Ambassador to Chad, Osama El-Hadi, handed over Chad’s Transitional Military Council Chairman Mohamed Idriss Deby an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to participate in the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh next November.
During the meeting, both officials discussed ways to boost bilateral relations between both countries at all levels, Foreign Ministry posted on its official Facebook page.
On his part, the Chadian president expressed his pride in the current level of relations between the two brotherly countries, praising Egypt's hosting of the climate conference.
He also noted that this global event comes at a time when the African continent is suffering from the negative effects of climate change, as well as desertification, which harms agricultural production, food security, and environmental balance in different countries across the continent.
