Sisi Inspects Roads, Bridges Projects in Cairo, Giza

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected on Friday projects to develop axes and bridges in Cairo and Giza, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

SisiRady added that Sisi inspected the progress of the implementation work of the comprehensive plan for the rehabilitation and development of the Grand Egyptian Museum area in Giza Governorate and the achievement of linking with the pyramids plateau, as well as expanding the Oasis Road and developing its intersections with other major axes.

SisiThe president also inspected the Rawd al-Farag Corridor, passing through the Tahya Misr Corridor, which connects western and eastern Cairo,” the spokesman said.

He noted that Sisi was also briefed on the development work of the new Al-Matariyah Corridor, which starts from Ibn Al-Hakam Square to link the neighborhoods of East Cairo and the rest of the governorates of Greater Cairo.

During his inspection tour, Sisi stopped to speak with officials and workers at those sites to follow up on the executive position of the progress of construction work, stressing the accuracy of adherence to the timetables for the completion of those projects aimed at developing traffic axes.

“The president also stressed the commitment to preventive measures against the novel coronavirus, especially with the onset of the winter season and the start of the second wave of the virus in order to preserve the safety of all workers at the various construction sites,” Rady manifested.
