President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi inspected on Friday the expansion works of the Ring Road and a number of axes and news roads in the Cairo Airport area, according to presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.
The president toured the development work on the highway axis and the expansion works on all internal roads leading to residential neighborhoods in the Sheraton neighborhood to ease traffic congestion.
The president followed up on the executive position to expand the ring road, especially the section extending from the highway axis in eastern Cairo to the Munib district, to be eight lanes instead of the existing four.
Moreover, Sisi spoke with officials at work sites about details of construction work and schedules.
