Sisi Inspects Construction Works of Roads, Axes in New Cairo

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected on Friday the construction work of a number of roads and axes in the New Cairo area.

During his inspection tour, the President was briefed on the progress of work in implementing the Talaat Harb Corridor project to connect the New Cairo area to the Central Ring Road, as well as the development of the car market complex and the surrounding area.

The president explained that approximately 15,000 feddans are being reclaimed to establish urban and industrial projects in New Cairo.

Sisi was briefed on the progress of work on the project to connect Gamal Abdel Nasser Corridor to Sadat Corridor to create a major axis within New Cairo.

The president directed the establishment of a bicycle and pedestrian walkway, and the allocation of parking spaces under the axis.

He also reviewed the work of developing the road network in New Cairo to facilitate traffic between the Northern Road 90 and the Southern Road 90 via the Gamal Abdel Nasser Sadat Axis.
