President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has opened, Monday, the animal and dairy production complex project in Sadat City in Menoufia Governorate, in the presence of a large number of senior statesmen, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
The project works to provide an integrated system in the field of livestock development and related activities in order to maximize the return on the results and components of projects, by applying the latest scientific methods in their implementation and management.
The complex consists of various kinds of livestock farms, integrated modern automated slaughterhouses, and factories for various dairy products.
The project aims at achieving relative self-sufficiency and reduce the cost of production requirements, while providing many suitable job opportunities for various disciplines and levels of scientific qualification.
The integrated complex for animal and dairy production was established in Sadat on an area of 1,000 acres, with a total of 5,000 milking heads with a capacity of 150 tons of milk per day, and 3,000 fattening heads with a capacity of 1.5 tons of live meat per cycle.
The complex includes 6 sub-farms, including 5 milking farms and one fattening farm, a veterinary scientific center for research and training, a veterinary hospital, a maternity building, an artificial insemination building, various types of livestock farms, modern integrated slaughterhouses and factories for various dairy products.
