President Abdel Fattah El Sisi opened on Sunday morning a number of national projects including the third stage of Al-Asmarat housing project, called Al-Asmarat 3, according to Presidency Spokesperson Ambassador Bassam Rady.
Rady stated that Al-Asmarat 3 includes thousands of full-fledged housing units and facilities.
"The president is expected also to open the largest service complex that can meet the demands of about 100 thousand inhabitants of Al-Asmarat three phases," added the spokesman.
On June 12, President Sisi inspected on Al-Asmarat 3 housing project in Cairo's Mokattam district, which was established to house residents of slums.
This new housing project provides its residents with a new community with all housing and societal services needed, according to statements given by Presidential Spokesman Rady.
He added that the president met, during his tour, with some citizens and reviewed their living conditions and needs.
The president also inspected some projects to establish new roads and axes in east Cairo.
