Sisi, Housing Minister Discuss National Projects: Rady

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Monday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

During the meeting, Sisi discussed the executive position of the national projects of the Ministry of Housing at nationwide, especially with regard to the New Administrative Capital, new cities, roads, utilities and housing sectors.

Sisi asked to provide all necessary services in all new urban communities according to the highest standards of implementation, with the strengthening of reliance on locally made components of high quality, and the development of all current roads surrounding the national residential projects. 

With regard to the development and construction of new cities; the Housing Minister presented the executive position of the facilities, services and the timetable for completing the works in the new city of Aswan, including the tourist walkway, the beach garden, the open and Roman theaters, as well as the new city of Mansoura, including the New Mansoura University and the International School, in addition to the city of Galala, including the towers area.

The construction works of the New Administrative Capital, and residential neighborhoods, as well as the government district, business and finance, hotel towers, the Green River, and the tallest iconic tower in Africa, as well as infrastructure works, were also reviewed. The Minister of Housing presented the progress of work in the new city of El Alamein. ,

Sisi was also briefed on the ongoing projects for the development of the historical Cairo area, which aim to restore the civilized face of the area and make it a tourist, recreational and cultural attraction, including the ongoing development process in the Magra El-Ayoun wall.

He was also briefed on the status of developing the main North Coast roads and directed ensuring safety and adding lanes to accommodate heavy traffic.

The minister of housing also presented the ministry's efforts in the wastewater treatment plants sector nationwide and using them in establishing tree forests.

Gazzar also presented the efforts made by the Ministry of Housing in the wastewater treatment plants sector at the nationwide level.
