Sisi Holds Talks with King of Bahrain in Sharm El Sheikh

Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain, in Sharm El Sheikh, according to the Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady on Saturday.

Two days ago, President Sisi received a phone call from King Hamad bin Isa, during which, the duo tackled issues related to boosting cooperation between Egypt and Bahrain, Rady said.

The discussions comes as part of the “distinguished and close relations binding the two countries,” the spokesman said.

In 2021, the Bahraini investments in Egypt reached USD 3.2 billion, according to the Bahraini ambassador Hisham ben Mohamed

The Egyptian president and Bahraini King also tackled a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest as the two sides agreed on pushing forward mechanisms of coordination to face regional challenges.
