President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi held a meeting on Tuesday with Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Head of General Intelligence Service Lt. General Abbas Kamel, and Minister of Water resources and Irrigation Dr. Hani Soliman.
During the meeting, Sisi followed up the latest developments in cooperation activities in the field of irrigation and water resources with the Nile Basin countries, especially those related to rainwater harvesting reservoirs, groundwater drinking stations, as well as projects to clean up watercourses, protect against the dangers of floods, and also create river ports.
In this regard, the President stressed that cooperation with Nile Basin countries is one of the most important constants of Egyptian-African joint work, especially in light of Egypt's human capabilities, diverse technical and institutional expertise in the field of water resources and other fields, which contributes to the implementation of many joint development projects that are beneficial to African continent.
