President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call, on Wednesday, from his Senegalese counterpart Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
The call underscored both leaders’ keenness to enhance the growing momentum in bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of economy, trade, and investment.
The two presidents affirmed their commitment to strengthening the close ties between the two brotherly nations and advancing efforts toward continental integration.
The conversation also touched on regional developments.
Both presidents emphasized the importance of continued consultations and coordination on issues related to peace and security across the African continent, especially in combating terrorism and extremist ideologies, and in reinforcing security and stability in the Sahel region.
Additionally, the two leaders discussed the latest developments in the Sahel countries and Sudan, reaffirming the need to preserve the unity and stability of African nations and safeguard the wellbeing of their peoples.
Senegalese President also listened to President Sisi’s perspective on the ongoing situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and Egypt’s efforts to restore stability in the Middle East.
