Sisi, Higher Education Minister Discuss Universities-Related Issues

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Tuesday with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and Chairman of the Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority Staff Major General Ehab El-Far.

“During the meeting, they discussed the President’s directives regarding the establishment of 10 new governmental private universities across Egypt,” said the Presidency Spokesman Bassam Rady.Sisi

In this context, plans to establish new private universities along with their architectural and construction designs were presented.

These universities are in Ismailia, Port Said, Helwan, Banha, Menya, Bani Suef, Alexandria, Mansoura, Asyut and Aswan, according to the Spokesman.Sisi

President Sisi called for providing the fund needed to establish these universities according to the highest standards.

He also gave directives for prioritizing modern technological sciences and advanced scientific majors in the academic aspects of these universities. He also underscored the importance of having these universities twinned with the top-ranking international universities.
