President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is heading to the Republic of Kenya today to participate in the Africa-France Summit, which is being hosted in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on May 11 and 12, 2026.
Official Presidential spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy, stated that the summit is held under the theme "Africa Forward" and aims to strengthen the Africa-France partnership by focusing on economic growth challenges, digital transformation, energy, and international financial system reform, as well as integrating African priorities into global economic frameworks.
The summit will see wide participation from African leaders, the French President, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and numerous heads of international and regional financial organizations, in addition to representatives from the African and French business sectors.
The spokesperson added that President Sisi will deliver Egypt’s speech during the summit and will also hold a number of bilateral meetings with his fellow African leaders and officials from international organizations on the sidelines of the event.
