President Abdel Fattah El Sisi praised on Saturday Kuwait's efforts to resolve the long diplomatic crisis between the Arab Quartet of Egypt, Bahrain, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
"President Sisi's remarks came during his meeting with Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah, who handed him over a message from Kuwaiti Emir Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah," Presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.

Sisi appreciated mediation by Kuwaiti rulers -- late emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, and Emir Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah -- to achieve Arab reconciliation and end the Arab rift.
The president asserted Egypt's long-standing policy aiming at achieving cooperation and supporting solidarity among Arab countries as a well-established strategy.
He called for mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of the countries and joining forces to stave off dangers that target the Arab nations.

The two sides agreed to intensify consultation and coordination between Egypt and Kuwait as part of efforts to confront threats to the stability of the Arab peoples and countries.
In 2017, the Arab Quartet severed diplomatic and transportation links with Qatar, accusing it of supporting militant groups.
Kuwait has since been trying to mediate for a solution.
