President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated President of Tunisia, Kais Saied, Wednesday evening, on the formation and swearing-in of a new government.
"Sisi spoke over phone with Saied and congratulated him for the newly-formed government swearing-in," said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
The President affirmed Egypt's support for all steps taken towards maintaining stability in Tunisia, lauding the firm brotherly and historic bonds the two countries’ governments and peoples share.
On his part, Saied expressed his gratitude for Sisi’s congratulations, which reflect the depth and strength of relations between Egypt and Tunisia. He underscored his keenness on strengthening the frameworks of joint bilateral cooperation.
The Tunisian President also voiced appreciation for Egypt's efforts in support of the Tunisian issue and for its vital role in strengthening the mechanisms of joint Arab and African action in the face of the current regional challenges.
