Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated Pope Francis, the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church on the occasion of Christmas, according to presidency spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.
During a phone call, Sisi affirmed Egypt’s appreciation for all international religious leaders worldwide, especially those of the Vatican.
Moreover, he also referred to Egypt’s current approach to establish values of coexistence, freedom of worship, and respect of the others.
On his part, Pope Francis praised President Sisi’s sincere efforts to achieve convergence, and understanding among people of all faiths.
It is worth mentioning that, Christmas celebrations annually falls on December 25 to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
