Sisi Gives Students Freedom between E-Learning or Physical Attendance

On Sunday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Education Tarek Shawki to discuss the government plans for holding mid-year exams and resuming the current academic year in schools.

During the talks, Sisi gave students the privilege to choose the most appropriate method for their children to continue their study in light of coronavirus pandemic, Presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said.

“Parents can choose the traditional way of learning, which means attending schools, or E-learning, which is taking classes online from home without going to school,” the President affirmed.

Moreover; he was briefed on the latest developments of the national project for the development of education in Egypt.

The president called for working harder on developing the educational system in Egypt, with paying more attention to what needed in case of applying the online learning method.

In the same vein, citizens took to Twitter with hashtags, calling on the President to permit continuing study online from home.

The latest statistics on Coronavirus cases and deaths worldwide showed that near 108746000 people were infected with the virus so far, including 2394403 deaths.

The COVID-19 cases have been recorded in more than 210 countries and regions since the outbreak in December 2019.
