President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed today, Wednesday, with Major General Abbas Kamel, head of the General Intelligence Service (GIS), developments of regional and international issues, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
“The meeting tackled the current developments at the regional and international levels and the state’s efforts in this context,” Rady added.
Moreover, the spokesman noted that Sisi and Kamel discussed the latest developments in the Egyptian national security files, most importantly the combating terrorism and extremist ideology.
“The president requested the head of GIS to keep exerting the utmost efforts and the highest degrees of coordination between the concerned state agencies to safeguard the security and safety of the homeland and to maintain stability as a fundamental factor,” Rady stressed.
In this regard, Sisi reaffirmed that stability is a key factor in supporting the process of construction, development and progress in Egypt.
