President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call, on Monday, with John Dramani Mahama, President of Republic of Ghana.
During the phone call, Sisi congratulated President Mahama on his victory in the presidential elections and his assumption of office for a second term.
He reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation during Mahama’s tenure, emphasizing the strong ties between the two nations and the special place Ghana holds in the hearts of the Egyptian people.
The call also underscored the importance of further enhancing economic and trade relations between Egypt and Ghana.
Moreover, Sisi highlighted Egypt’s interest in encouraging Egyptian companies to operate in Ghana, particularly in areas of mutual interest, citing their successful contributions to Ghana’s development.
The Ghanaian president expressed his deep appreciation for President El-Sisi’s congratulatory call, acknowledging the strong and historic ties between the two nations.
He also commended Egypt’s role in supporting Ghana’s development efforts and building the capacities of Ghanaian professionals across various sectors.
