President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to discuss efforts to stop the current escalation between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
The two sides agreed on the importance of working intensively towards a halt to the military escalation, in order to prevent the situation from slipping into circles of violence and human suffering, taking into account the potential serious implications for regional security and stability.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also stressed the need to address the root causes of the conflict through supporting the path of de-escalation and promoting efforts to resolve the Palestinian issue in a just, comprehensive, and sustainable manner on the basis of the two-state solution in accordance with the adopted references and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
