Sisi Follows up on Technology-related Projects Nationwide

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed Monday with Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, developments of technological national projects nationwide.

"Sisi followed up on national projects related to the communications and information technology sector," said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

The president urged concerned officials to promote the use of the latest technologies to double the capabilities of the state’s digital information infrastructure, as this will directly contribute to the efforts of digital transformation, in parallel with training human cadres in various areas of digital skills to support government performance and provide the latest digital services to citizens and the business sector.

On his part, the Minister of Communications presented during the meeting the executive position of a number of projects being implemented by the ministry in the communications and information technology sector in the context of strengthening the axis of building the Egyptian person, which included expanding capacity-building and preparing human cadres in the communications and information technology sector on digital skills.

The efforts to implement the "Digital Egypt" initiative, which targets trainees, graduates, independent professionals and workers in various national projects, were also presented.

During the meeting, Sisi tackled the "Africa for Digital Creativity" initiative, which he had launched.

In the same vein, he asked them to expand cooperation with African countries in this context especially by encouraging Egyptian ICT companies to cooperate with their African counterparts to build integrated digital systems, as well as providing specialized technical training for African youth in various fields of technology.
