In this regard, Sisi gave directives to concerned officials to continue strengthening agricultural reclamation efforts within the "New Delta" project and the subsequent establishment of extended urban communities, which would achieve the state's goals to establish new comprehensive development centers by expanding horizontally away from overpopulated areas.

The president also followed up on efforts to utilize and develop vacant lands in Cairo, especially in East Cairo, and gave directives to complete this process according to a comprehensive approach that goes in line with the mega development projects established by the state and urban coordination efforts in the governorate.
