President Abdel Fattah El Sisi followed up on the national projects of the Ministry of Electricity nationwide in a meeting on Sunday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker, and Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Adviser to the President for Urban Planning.
"Sisi followed up on the national projects of the Ministry of Electricity at the national level," said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Shaker reviewed the electrical loads' plan and steps for developing the electrical supply for developmental communities in Sinai and linking them to the unified electrical network.
Hence, Sisi called for adhering to the timetables for the completion of projects to supply electrical supply lines to Sinai, stressing that the electricity sector is a basic component to meet the development needs of these regions, especially with regard to agricultural sector projects through water-lifting stations.
Rady added that the Minister of Electricity reviewed during the meeting efforts to improve electricity services for various uses in all governorates, stressing that the efforts to develop and modernize the electricity sector contributed to improving the capacity of the national grid to absorb the expected increase in consumption during the summer season, is witnessing a comprehensive development process for networks, transmission, distribution and control centers.
