President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reviewed on Sunday progress in the implementation of the national project “Egypt’s Future” for agricultural production.
The president was briefed on progress and developments in the current and future phases of the project from its various aspects, notably the areas cultivated so far, the water supply, and electricity in addition to the project’s infrastructure.
Sisi gave directives to concerned officials to continue work toward completing the objectives of this strategic project in the field of agriculture and food, so as to contribute to creating thousands of jobs in various specializations and give a strong impetus to the national system for agricultural manufacturing.
It shall also contribute to enhancing the state’s strategy to increase the proportion of the agricultural land from the republic’s geographical area, particularly as it is included in the mega agricultural project “The New Delta”.
Sisi also reviewed details of workflow of the infrastructure components and progress in the implementation of a number of other agricultural projects nationwide, particularly in Beni Sweif and Menia governorates, which will represent an added value to Egypt’s food market.
Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Mohamed Abdel Ati; and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, AlSayyed Al Quseer attended the meeting, in addition to the Commander of the Air Forces; the President’s Advisor for Urban Planning; the Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority and the Director of “ Egypt’s Future” project.
