Sisi Follows up 1st Phase of Health Insurance in Port Said

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Wednesday with a number of ministers and tackled the procedures and executive steps of the first phase of the Comprehensive Health Insurance System in Port Said governorate.

Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady said that Sisi convened Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, Ministers of Finance, Health and Population, Communications and Information Technology, the Governor of Port Said, Chairman of the Administrative Control Board and Deputy Minister of Finance of the General Treasury.

Sisi instructed the concerned officials to quickly complete preparations for the first stage of comprehensive health insurance as part of the State's keenness to start a new stage of providing all kinds of health services to all citizens in accordance with international standards.

During the meeting, Dr. Hala Zayed, the Health Minister, reviewed the position on the various axes of the implementation of the comprehensive health insurance project starting in Port Said Governorate.

In the context of the training of human cadres, Zayed explained that there is an integrated system being implemented on the training of physicians applying for the first phase of the comprehensive health insurance system.

“A protocol of cooperation with the British side has been concluded to train 100 doctors,” the minister added.
