Sisi Follows up on National Project for Egyptian Family Development

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting on Sunday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and a number of concerned ministers and officials to discuss developments of the Egyptian Family's national project.

Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Health and Population, Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, and Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity and Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, attended the meeting

"Sisi followed up on developments of the national program for women community leaders, and the national project for the development of the Egyptian family," said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

In this context, Sisi requested the concerned officials to strengthen and support the role of NGOs and coordination mechanisms between them and the pioneer women’s system due to their impact and importance, as well as the formation of specialized working groups to study all common societal problems that they discover during their work on the ground.

He also called for providing academic support for these efforts through universities located in the geographical scope of the work of pioneer groups, in coordination and harmony with the state’s initiatives in this regard, such as “Egyptian Family Development” and “A Decent Life.”

The executive position of the "National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family" was presented in its various axes and with the participation of all the competent agencies, as well as the geographical scope of the project.

The project aims at an integrated development of all aspects of the lives of Egyptian families, as it is based on several axes related to economic empowerment, especially for women through achieving financial independence and providing job opportunities, and service intervention with the aim of training and qualifying medical staff and providing the necessary means to provide family planning services in cooperation with NGOs and civil society organizations.

The president called for continuing coordination between all concerned parties to audit all details of the "Egyptian Family Development" project before the launching of its first phase in addition to monitoring and evaluating the project's results on a regular basis to achieve the desired results.
