President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Sunday, a phone call from Charles Michel, President European Council.
The phone call discussed the latest developments on the Palestinian-Israeli front, where Michel affirmed the European side's keenness to intensify consultations and exchange views with the President in this regard, in order to end the escalating violence and tension that threatens serious consequences.
On his part, President Sisi stressed the importance of stopping the ongoing escalation and exercising restraint by all sides, due to the serious risks it entails for the lives of civilians and security and stability of the region.
Moreover, he reviewed the ongoing Egyptian movements with all regional and international parties in this regard, with the aim of unifying and coordinating efforts, and avoiding the region from further factors of disruption and instability, leading to the promotion of just and comprehensive peace efforts based on the two-state solution in accordance with international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
