Sisi Calls for Establishment of Integrated Service System Along New Roads

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called for the establishment of an integrated service system along the new roads and axes at close distances, to provide all means of safety and comfort for citizens, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady on Saturday.

Sisi met today with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President for Urban Planning, Major General Ehab El-Far, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Magdy Anwar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Company for Construction, Development and Roads Management, Major General Ashraf El-Araby, Head of the Advisory Office in the Engineering Authority, and Brigadier Abdel Aziz El-Feki, Assistant Chairman of the Engineering Authority for Road Designs.

"The meeting dealt with following up the executive position of a number of national projects nationwide," said Rady.

In this context, Sisi was briefed on the latest developments of the road network, axes, and bridges system nationwide, especially the Upper Egypt Road, with a total length of about 160 km, in addition to implementing the largest possible expansion to achieve the required traffic liquidity, as well as establishing an integrated system of services along the roads and at close distances, including coverage of mobile networks, ambulance, and emergency points.

Existing efforts to benefit from a number of unused lands and space were also reviewed, as well as the progress of the Port Said Towers project, and the executive position of the projects carried out by the Engineering Authority in cooperation with the private sector in the real estate development system.

Sisi also tackled the construction and engineering position of a number of engineering authority projects, especially the city of Galala and the future extension of the investment areas in the region, in addition to the New Administrative Capital and its neighborhoods and facilities, especially the central nursery area for trees and flowers on an area of ​​1,000 acres to supply the New Administrative Capital with all the various crops required for the cultural and aesthetic coordination of its different neighborhoods and regions, in a manner consistent with modern environmental standards.
