President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stated that Egypt has always served as a bridge for cultural communication between nations.

During his speech at the inauguration of Senghor University, President Sisi added that Egypt has been keen to contribute to the shared goals of the Francophone world, praising France's pivotal role in supporting the Francophone community.

Sisi further remarked that Egypt values France's efforts in supporting the development of African cadres, noting that Senghor University stands as a fundamental pillar in assisting African nations to formulate national policies that are more responsive to modern challenges.

Senghor University serves as a premier reference institution dedicated to training African leadership and professionals.

The university welcomes students from various French-speaking African nations, including Egypt and Haiti, and occasionally hosts students from outside the continent such as Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, France, Lebanon, Romania, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

The educational process is managed by four international department heads who work diligently to ensure academic quality and foster the university's global outreach.

They are supported by a specialized academic council and a network of approximately 150 visiting professors, half of whom are university academics while the other half are international experts recognized for their professional excellence.

Furthermore, the university places a high priority on gender balance by ensuring that women represent at least 30% of the teaching staff, which contributes to a more inclusive and diverse academic environment.
