President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Monday with the President of the British Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Professor Jackie Taylor, on the sidelines of Glasgow's COP-26, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Professor Taylor expressed the Royal College's pride in recently signing a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in order to enhance the efforts of the Royal College in supporting education, training and professional assessment in the medical sector in Egypt.
This protocol aims at helping to follow the highest possible standards for health care.
She stressed the College’s intention to establish an extended cooperation partnership with the Egyptian specialized authorities to transfer the academic and practical experiences of the college in the medical and health care sector to Egypt.
On his part, Sisi affirmed Egypt’s interest in developing the education sector in its various stages and scientific research, as well as upgrading the medical sector, by seeking to establish partnership relations with high-level international institutions, including the prestigious British institutions.
In this regard, Sisi hailed the cooperation protocol with the Royal College as one of the most important projects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
"This protocol opens up prospects for deepening cooperation and helps increase in scholarships for Egyptian students to Britain," President Sisi said.
